    First week in Dublin

    Hi everyone !

My name is Linus, I’m 19 years old and I come from Switzerland. I have just started my Erasmus adventure in Dublin, Ireland, where I will spend 3 months combining an internship with English classes. I will be working for the MyErasmusCourse project in all of the 8 different schools. This program was created by eight partner language schools and give students

    A smooth arrival

I landed in Dublin on Sunday evening and everything went very smoothly. The trip from the airport to my residence took only 30 minutes. It was simple and stress-free, the perfect start to this new experience.

    Internship at Babel Academy

My first week was spent at Babel Academy, one of the eight schools involved in MyErasmusCourse. From day one, the team made me feel very welcome. I quickly got involved in the daily activities and discovered how enriching it is to work in an international  environment.

    More schools to come

Babel academy is just the beginning. Over the weeks, I will also spend time in the other partner schools. I am really looking forward to experiencing their different approaches, meeting new teachers and classmates, and seeing how each school brings its own unique touch to language learning and working atmosphere.

    First impression of Dublin

In my free time, I started exploring the city. Dublin immediately struck me with its lively streets, pubs and warm atmosphere. But what impressed me more are the people : the Irish are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

    Making friends and staying active

Beside my class and internship, I also joined a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club. The atmosphere there is fantastic, welcoming, supportive and full of positive energy. It’s a great way not only to stay active but also to meet new people and feel part of the local community.

    Looking ahead

The first has already been full of discoveries, a smooth arrival, a great start at Babel Academy, new friendships and my first step into Dublin life. I can’t wait to continue this journey, explore the other schools and see what the next weeks will bring both personally and professionally.
