What is "My Erasmus Course"?

My Erasmus Course is a community of quality English language schools in Dublin. We are united by a mission to provide exceptional international experiences for educators and learners through Erasmus courses in Ireland. Our focus is on fostering academic excellence, cultural exchange, and personal growth within a vibrant and empowering learning environment.

Yes. All member schools are:

  • Approved Erasmus+ partners and their OID numbers can be found on their individual school profile.
  • Recognised by The Department of Higher Education for providing English Language (EL) programs in Ireland.
  • Members of English Education Ireland (EEI), which is the leading association of quality-accredited EL schools in the country.
  • Committed to offering courses that fully comply with Erasmus quality standards.

Our member schools have a long history with the programme. We have been providing Teacher Training Courses, mini-stay programmes and English language courses over the past decade. Following the expansion to Erasmus+ in 2014, we broadened our course offerings to include a wider range of innovative topics.

We offer a diverse range of quality Erasmus+ approved courses for learners at all levels. Course topics include:

  • Innovative Teaching Methods: Such as Project-Based Learning and working with international students.
  • Technology in Education: Including Educational Tech & AI.
  • Modern Educational Themes: Such as Environmental Studies, Special & Other Needs, STEM, and Social Inclusion.
  • Language and Culture: We provide CEFR-aligned English Language (EL) training, Communicative Language Teaching, Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and courses on Cultural Heritage.

Our trainers are highly qualified and experienced. They are:

  • Qualified teacher trainers with extensive experience training educational staff from across Europe.
  • Holders of qualifications relevant to English Language teaching.
  • Experienced in training counterparts from primary, secondary, and adult education sectors.

Our courses are designed to be interactive, engaging, and participant-focused.

  • Methodology: We draw on a range of approaches depending on the course, drawing on communicative methodology, task based learning, project based learning, etc.
  • Interactive: We use interactive methods and the latest classroom technology to maximise engagement and the exchange of experiences among participants.
  • Structure: Courses consist of workshops and input sessions, often linked with practical materials design, teaching practice sessions, or educational tours. Group sizes are small to ensure individual attention.
  • Practical Application: We facilitate participants to evaluate, analyse, and apply what they have learned to their own teaching contexts, helping them gather useful materials for their own curricula.

We provide comprehensive support throughout the entire process.

  • Pre-Arrival: We assess participants’ needs beforehand and provide a detailed course description with clear learning outcomes. Making sure the course is structured in a way that meets the participants funding requirements, and we will work with you to develop a Learning Agreement.
  • During the Course: We welcome and provide opportunities for feedback and the inclusion of participants’ input. We have dedicated student support to assist you throughout your stay in Dublin
  • Logistics: We provide clear, accurate, and comprehensive details about additional services available, such as accommodation, transport, and extra-curricular activities.

Cultural exchange is a core part of the experience. We actively promote it by:

  • Fostering Networks: Our courses attract an international mix of teachers, allowing for cultural exchange and transnational cooperation between the teachers and their schools.
  • Organised Activities: We facilitate networking and intercultural exchange of new ideas through educational tours and cultural activities.
  • Collaboration: We encourage the sharing of expertise among participants from a variety of countries.

Our members are committed to completing all necessary Erasmus documentation, such as the Mobility Agreement, Learning Agreements and Europass forms thoroughly and efficiently to ensure a smooth process for everyone involved.
