Morning at Future Learning
For today’s blog post I wanted to give you an insight into what a day looks like on an Erasmus+ Course at Future Learning, a language school in Dublin. In the morning, I joined a class that was working on a project similar to Dragon’s Den. The students had to come up with a creative idea that could make everyday life easier and then give a short pitch to try to “sell” it. I found it really engaging to see how confident and imaginative they were. Some ideas were surprisingly realistic, while others were quite funny. I was taking notes and getting inspired—until I realized I had actually gone into the wrong class!
Exploring AI in Education
The right class was next door, where a group of teachers from Italy were learning how to use artificial intelligence in education. It turned out to be even more fascinating. They explored how AI tools like Gemini and Canva can help teachers create materials, generate images, or design activities for their students. It was amazing to see how technology can make learning more dynamic and creative. We finished the session with a fun game in English that brought everyone together and ended the morning on a cheerful note.
An Afternoon at the EPIC Museum
In the afternoon, we all met at the EPIC Museum at 2:30. The museum focuses on the story of Irish emigration and how Irish people have influenced the world. It was a truly interactive experience, with videos, lights, and personal stories that made history come alive. Céline, one of the Italian teachers, told me, “It’s unbelievable how many Irish left their country and made an impact all over the world.” I completely agreed. The museum visit made me appreciate how connected we all are through history and culture—a perfect end to a day full of learning and discovery.
